EU agricultural policy accounts for almost one third of the European Union’s budget. The two pillars of the Common Agricultural Policy have focused on two main objectives. One is to provide Member States with affordable and balanced food. The other is to maintain and raise the living standards of farmers and people living in the countryside in a sustainable environment. Our main goal is to explore the situation and characterization of the population retention power of the rural economy in the Northern Great Plain region.
